Colored Spaghetti

Yesterday was just a wonderful beautiful day. I went to town, all by myself, and I actually listened to country music on the radio!! Wow! Okay, it may not sound like much.. But I honestly don’t remember the last time I listened to country. Or the radio for that matter. My daily playlist consists of Father Abraham; Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes; and If you’re happy & you know it. All. Day. Long. So picture this, I’m driving and the sun makes it warm in my car, it’s quiet except for the radio, so I’m feeling nice and happy and relaxed 🙂 I’ve not felt relaxed in a long time, so it was worth a mention.

Tonight for dinner, I was hungry but the girls were. B was asking for spaghetti. So I remembered something I saw on Pinterest when I first joined. From tablespoon.com Color spaghetti.

So I start fixing it and I told her I had a surprise for her. I only had purple food coloring on hand, and it’s her favorite color, so I was fine with it being just one color.

This is probably the simplest way to make spaghetti night fun! Just boil the noodles like you would anyways and after you turned the heat down or off, add the desired amount of food coloring. The more coloring, the darker the color. You could make this more colorful by making several pots of noodles and adding different colors to each pot. I’ll be doing that when I buy more food coloring.

Just drain when you have the perfect color, and viola! Beautiful spaghetti for a beautiful day, lol!

Haha! I told my oldest that it was rotten spaghetti, and I just hated to waste it so I cooked it for her! She didn’t care though and ate it anyways! Gross, lol.
